Sir Sir Ian McKellen has partnered with Richard Loncraine to launch Heuristic Shakespeare - The Tempest app, the first in a series of 37 individual apps covering all of Shakespeare's plays.

Users will be presented with a scrolling text of the full version of the play while actors, including McKellen, read the lines. McKellen commented 'Reading the script of any play is a problem, even for professional actors. Heuristic Shakespeare is designed to provide an answer. Following the text and watching the actors read the words out loud is like having your own private performance always to hand'.
